Roberto's (Solana Beach)

Info:
445 N Highway 101

Solana Beach, CA 92075
(858) 259-0042
Hours: Mon- Sun 9am to 9pm

I ate at Roberto's last week to give Dainty's choice another try.

Nope not a fan. The sour cream was runny, the meat was tough and the cheese was not melted. There was less "grease" as dainty puts it but, that "grease" is flavor.
It's really close to work so I will most likely go again but, If I had my druthers I would drive to Juanita's.

Filiberto's!

Damn, Juanitas is great, too.
Have you been to Rico's?

Filiberto's is still the best.

Try just a bean and cheese burrito after you've gone bike riding for a couple of hours on a hot day. BElieve me, it tastes awesome!

The california Burrito at Roberto's Solana Beach is just not that good. Completely agree with runny sour cream and stuff.
The best ones I have had (when they decide to make them good) are at Fliberto's in Encinitas. My #1 choice until I saw them cook the carne Asada once on the grill. The cook poored about 3 Big Scoops of Oil from the French Firies Frying Machine onto the meat. Since that day I had to let go of my favorite Cal Burrito in North County...

Keep looking and post the best Cal Burrito joint if you find one... Taco Surf in PB KICKS ASS also!
Juanitas is good
